"As your instructor, I teach you how to handle your logs, how to find them and buy them. I will show you how to build a floor system with logs and beams as well as lofts. I will show you how to layout and cut a variety of log knotches and I will aslo build a log truss and purlin roof support system in each class, or rather, ........ you will with a team of like minded motivated individuals.
I will prove to you that you can do this! And, I will demonstrate how I will provide assistance after you leave for home and begin building by making myself available to you , including coming to your site to help work out design, engineering needs for your project. I am thorough and you will have no doubt about whether you will be able to build in this traditional craft. The days are long, very long. I continually ask questions and encourage you to do the same until you know what I know as well as I do. I teach you how to raise your logs up onto your building using simple methods that do not mean buying a crane. Our goal is to see to it that you have the requiste skills needed to build a fine log home with your own logs.
This is not for everyone, age , height, weight, sex or race are not barriers ........ in fact, the only real barrier is allowing a pessimist to give you a hand! Be prepared for working hard while laughing and getting to know some of the greatest kind of folks I've ever had the privilege to meet! "
